Cyberattack

The Cyber Attack that is spreading across the world may affect your security network. The Cyber Attack freezes computers on your network until you pay a $300 ransom to an anonymous BitCoin account.

Is there a possibility that one of your systems has put your clients’ network at risk and if so what will be the consequences?

Peter Cruiser a Cyber Security Expert in Denmark who’s been trying to deal with these attacks explained in a Radio interview how the virus is spreading.

“It uses a vulnerability that is actually within Microsoft but many companies did not patch it correctly. What happens is when it gets into a network, or internal network it will propagate from one PC to another one and in large networks, there’s a pretty good chance that eventually it will hit a vulnerable PC and that PC will get infected as well and it starts spreading inside the internal networks”.

It has been identified in the past that CCTV and Security systems have been entry points for Hackers and Cyber Attack, due to poor house-keeping or vulnerable equipment. Is there a possibility that one of your systems has put your clients’ network at risk and if so what will be the consequences?
